[01-16-2026] Account Linking Update: Startgg and New Features

Update from the founder of parry.gg:

Our single most requested feature in 2025 was integration with the stats aggregator supermajor.gg. This integration requires the ability to link a parrygg account with a startgg account. 

At the end of 2025 we announced the ability to link start.gg accounts via their official oauth flow. Immediately after our announcement, the start.gg leadership told us they were uncomfortable with us allowing our users to connect their start.gg accounts, and requested we take this feature down.

We’ve spent the last year listening to our users and building features that they request. 
For that reason, parry.gg now supports manual start.gg account verification.

Release Update

What's new:

• Users can once again link their parry.gg accounts to their start.gg accounts through the profile page via a manual verification process.
• Tournament organizers can now set registration dates for their events and tournaments independently from their start dates.
• Character reporting / individual-game reporting is now available on mobile.

Fixes and Tweaks:

• When reporting a new game in a match, your character selections from the previous game in that match will automatically be copied over.
• Corrected an issue where projections could fail to be generated for later phases of events with 3 or more phases.
